When I was 12 years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. This is an abnormal curvature of the spine, and it would only get worse if I did not wear a back brace. Surgery at that time was very risky. I had to wear a full body brace all the time, for four years, even while asleep. I had to find new ways to accomplish simple everyday tasks, all the while frequently experiencing pain. With over 20 years of yoga training and personal treatments, I am now focused on helping others manage their pain, with Healing Yoga Ottawa.
